Ages: Adults 18 and up

Price: $250 for the 6 week workshop (this includes10 kg bag of clay, glazes, supplies and firing.)

Throwing on the potter’s wheel is very hard to describe for those who have not experienced it before. The best explanation we’ve heard, is that it is a combination of meditation, riding a bicycle and solitary mud wrestling at the same time! No matter how you describe it, it’s great fun! More importantly, anyone can learn to be a successful potter... Yes, anyone! These specific workshops will focus on refining technique and sensing. The curriculum will have a “back to the basics” focus that will propel your skills to the next level. The six week workshop will guide you step-by-step through throwing technique, glazing and firing. This is a fun and informal workshop for brand new to moderately experienced students.

This workshop will focus on lids and jars for the moderately advanced students, or those interested.

We will also offer some spots for sculpting, hand-building, etc... which will be available at a lower rate. Please contact us if you are interested in the (non-potters wheel) options which will occur at the same time.

In this winter studio series of one-night adult workshops, we’re all about getting cozy, slowing down a bit and celebrating warmth, friendship and the beauty of the season. This is the Yule Edition of our series, where you can chose to create one or all of our offerings for the evening: handmade cloth and paper ornaments, a fresh winter greenery bough with dried fruit and pinecones, a natural star wall hanging. We’ll have hot tea and sweet treats, but feel free to bring a beverage or bites for yourself or to share. We can’t wait to take a moment to calm down, get cozy and create with you!

In this winter studio series of one-night adult workshops, we’re all about getting cozy, slowing down a bit and celebrating warmth, friendship and the beauty of the season. This is the Yule Edition of our series, where you can chose to create one or all of our offerings for the afternoon: a mini besom broom, “wishing“ ornaments and a solstice candle lantern. We’ll have hot tea and sweet treats, but feel free to bring a beverage or bites for yourself or to share. We can’t wait to take a moment to calm down, get cozy and create with you!

Teen Open Studio Sundays! Art/Punk/D.I.Y.

Starting January 4th 2026, we are pleased to announce TEEN OPEN STUDIO NIGHTS!

Bring whatever you’re currently working on - art, poetry, music, zines, D.I.Y. clothing, patches, a new D&D campaign, etc. Use our hard tools, our freebee-supply table and our space to hang with old friends, meet new ones and get your projects done.

Heather and Spencer are hosting and doing their own art right alongside you, available for comic relief and any help you may need! Every now and then we’ll bring some artist friends in to demo one of their techniques and mentor with Q&A for anyone interested.

Art is for everyone, The Bodhi Tree is a safe space for everyone and everyone is welcome in The Bodhi Tree, so bring a friend! They might get inspired to create their next masterpiece! Looking forward to seeing you all!
